Terms of service
This is a draft. We’ll publish the final terms before Read Like a Local launches.
These terms cover the Read Like a Local browser extension and this website, provided by ATARY LTD. By using them, you agree to these terms.
AI translation
Read Like a Local uses AI to translate pages. Translations can contain mistakes. Check the original before you rely on a translation for anything important, like legal, medical, or financial decisions.
Your own API key
When you use your own key, your use of the provider is covered by that provider’s terms, and the provider bills you directly.
30-day pass
- A pass costs $4.99 and includes 1 million words of translation for 30 days from the day you buy it.
- It doesn’t renew automatically. Words you don’t use expire with the pass.
- We count words in the original text. In Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, 1.5 characters count as one word.
- New accounts get 30,000 words free to try it. No card needed.
Refunds
If the pass isn’t right for you, email us within 30 days of buying it and we’ll refund you in full. No questions asked.
Fair use
Don’t share your account, resell translations as a service, or try to get around usage limits. We may pause accounts that do.
